Ancelotti : Alonso among few people who think Ronaldo won't win Ballon d'or

Carlo Ancelotti used a press conference to comment on Xabi Alonso's recent words and Modric's injury.

A replacement for the injured Modric: "I haven't decided on one yet. I have two options. Khedira is the obvious choice and Isco is the other. I'll try them both out in training and then make a decision".

Modric's injury: "It's quite a serious injury. We don't know when he'll be back. Right now he's working on his recovery. Modric is a very important player but our squad has plenty of depth".

Xabi Alonso's statements: "I've read what he said, it's just an opinion and I don't like to get involved in this type of statement because he's expressed his personal opinion. I think it's pretty clear that he's one of the few who doesn't think Cristiano will win it. It's normal he think that, Neuer's his teammate. There was a lot of debate last year, but even if I weren't the Real Madrid boss this year, it'd still be hard to think of any other player than Cristiano winning it. Some people forget how important Cristiano was in winning the Champions League, he scored 17 goals. Let's talk about next year's Ballon d'Or".
