Fernando Fernández Tapias, the Real Madrid vice-president, talked Messi and Ronaldo on Radio MARCA.

Fernández Tapias acknowledged that the Real Madrid side gave him the best gift he could possibly wish for on his birthday by playing "brilliantly" at the weekend.

Real Madrid: "It's great to watch them play and see the level of understanding between them. Impressive."

New deal for Ancelotti: "It would be the right move, although that's up to Florentino. The president has created this team."

Cristiano Ronaldo: "He is a genius and he takes care of himself. He is completely out of this world - you only see someone like him once every 50 years. He'll achieve everything he wants to achieve. Messi is a great player, but he's no Cristiano Ronaldo."

Messi at Real Madrid: "If Messi came to Real Madrid, they'd have to make another league. For example, with Europe and America together against Real Madrid. It's fine the way things are. There always have to be big players, and in the more teams the better so there's competition."
